The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday night that they signed Robert Wheelwright. A source told B5Q that the former Wisconsin wide out signed a one-year contract.
Wheelwright initially was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent after the NFL Draft in late April, but was later cut by the NFC East organizatino in mid-May.
The 6’3, 202-pound Wheelwright played in 47 career games for Wisconsin with 18 starts. He finished his Badgers career reeling in 69 receptions for 890 yards and six touchdowns.
