Madison — After an otherwise uneventful practice during the bye week, Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave traveled back in time to moment he'd just as soon forget: Oct. 4, 2014.
"I remember it was rainy and cold and not the greatest day to be playing football," the fifth-year senior said, reflecting on UW's 20-14 loss at Northwestern. "I just remember getting a chance to go out there and play again and kind of get over everything I was going through. In that respect it was a positive for me.
"But other than that it wasn't our best game as a team, and it wasn't our best game offensively.
