Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Joe Schobert is off to a hot start in 2015, and his play has been recognized by ESPN’s Ivan Maisel, who included Schobert on his midseason All-American list.

Schobert has anchored a Wisconsin Badgers defense that is giving up just 272 yards per game — the seventh best number in all of college football. The Badgers are holding opponents to 10.9 points per game, the third best scoring defense in the country.
Wisconsin’s rush defense is allowing just over 100 yards per game, while the pass defense has kept opposing offenses to an average of 169 yards per game through the air.
