Iowa changes their QB1 ahead of Week 10 vs. Wisconsin

The Iowa Hawkeyes are making a change at quarterback this week ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Wisconsin Badgers, as Brendan Sullivan was listed as the first-string quarterback over Cade McNamara on this week’s depth chart.

Iowa has dealt with quarterback controversy throughout the year, as Cade McNamara has been inconsistent over the first half of the season, throwing six touchdowns and five interceptions thus far, while averaging only 127 passing yards per game.

That led to head coach Kirk Ferentz revealing that Iowa planned to rotate quarterbacks this past weekend in the team’s 40-14 win over the Northwestern Wildcats, but Sullivan took on the permanent role as McNamara left the game with an injury in the second quarter and did not return.
