The Wisconsin Badgers lost to the LSU Tigers 35-31 on Monday in the ReliaQuest Bowl, finishing the season 7-6 to cap off Year 1 of the Luke Fickell era.
In the loss, the Badgers held an early 14-point lead and only trailed for the final 3:10 of the game, but ultimately couldn’t close out another game against a tough opponent.
Offensively, Tanner Mordecai was spectacular, outside of the final three minutes, throwing for 378 yards and three touchdowns, serving as the primary reason why the Badgers were competitive.
Defensively, the Badgers were gashed for 492 yards, as LSU’s speedy offense proved to be too tough a threat in the loss.
