The Wisconsin Badgers have kicked off spring ball, with the first three practices being open to the media this past week.
I wasn’t present at the first two practices due to Wisconsin’s basketball program playing in the Big Ten Tournament, but was there at the third practice on Tuesday.
The Badgers have a completely different program than the team that went 5-7 a season ago, as more than two dozen players hit the transfer portal, while Wisconsin brought in nearly as many transfers to revamp their roster.
Perhaps no transfer is more important than quarterback Billy Edwards, who leads the new-look Badgers quarterback room that doesn’t have a single scholarship quarterback from the 2024 roster.
