How Greg Gard’s ‘intentional’ approach has fielded one of the best Badgers teams in recent memory

The Wisconsin Badgers have been off to one of their best starts in program history, starting the year 15-3, including 5-2 in conference play, as the offense has been one of their best in recent memory.

That came after arguably the biggest offseason of uncertainty in the Greg Gard era, as the Badgers saw seven players transfer from the program, while key starters Tyler Wahl, Chucky Hepburn, and AJ Storr all left, leaving major questions to answer.

After a slow start to the transfer portal period, the Badgers quickly picked up commitments from guard John Tonje, forward Xavier Amos, and guard Camren Hunter, filling out their portal class, while adding three freshmen in Daniel Freitag, Jack Robison, and Riccardo Greppi.
