How Badgers DC Mike Tressel changed the defense’s practice mentality this offseason

The Wisconsin Badgers had an up-and-down season in Year 1 of the Luke Fickell era, finishing 7-6 in 2023, including their bowl game loss to the LSU Tigers.

Throughout the year, Wisconsin faced difficulties on both sides of the ball as they adapted to a new coaching staff and a number of changes with the team’s personnel.

Back in the spring, defensive coordinator Mike Tressel reflected on these issues and emphasized the improvements needed as they moved into Year 2.
