Madison — Wisconsin's Hayden Biegeltook the first step — albeit a small one — to returning to practice.
The redshirt sophomore, who opened camp as the No. 1 right tackle, attended practice Tuesday for the first time since he suffered a concussion Aug. 14.
Biegel, dressed in shorts and his jersey top, only watched practice from the sidelines. Still, his return was the first sign he might be able to practice soon and perhaps be ready for the Sept. 5 opener against Alabama.
"He is doing good," outside linebacker and older brother Vince Biegelsaid after practice Tuesday.
