New York — For many kids of the 1990s, the lasting image of Michael Jordan isn't his jumper to win the 1998 NBA Finals or his game-winner against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1989 playoffs.
Instead, it's one of the best players who ever stepped on a court looking off Bugs Bunny, leaping over five cartoon "Monstars" and extending his arm 40 feet for a buzzer-beating dunk to save the world.
A current 22-year-old wouldn't have seen much of Jordan's basketball career. But his work in film would have had a lasting effect.
"Growing up in Chicago, Michael Jordan is everything there," Kaminsky said Thursday night shortly after the Jordan-owned Charlotte Hornets selected the former Wisconsin standout with the ninth pick in the NBA draft.
