Former Wisconsin tight end Sean Lewis named Kent State head coach

Former Wisconsin Badgers tight end Sean Lewis’s quick ascent through the coaching ranks now takes him back to the MAC in a leading-man capacity.

The Kent State Golden Flashes named the 31-year-old Lewis their head coach on Thursday, making the former Badger the youngest head coach in the FBS, an honor previously held by current Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley.

Under the tutelage of Dino Babers since 2012, Lewis has coached at Eastern Illinois (2012–13), Bowling Green (2014–15), and Syracuse (2016–17).

Lewis helped lead fast-paced and high-octane offenses on Babers’s staffs, just a bit of a difference from what he experienced at Wisconsin.
