When it comes to the 2024 NFL Draft, all eyes are on fourth-round selections Braelon Allen and Tanor Bortolini for Wisconsin Badgers fans, and rightfully so after strong college careers.
But, in his first preseason, one undrafted free agent is making waves to hopefully earn a roster spot: linebacker Maema Njongmeta.
Njongmeta, a multi-year starter at Wisconsin, attended the 2024 NFL Combine, but hadn’t really impressed much during the pre-draft process, leading him to go undrafted in a weaker pool of depth across the country.
However, everything has changed this preseason with the linebacker recording a team-high 29 tackles through three games, including 11 in the final week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
