Madison — Healthy for the first time since late in the 2013 season, Wisconsin wide receiver Jordan Fredrick was encouraged by his play during preseason camp and excited about the role he hoped to play in 2015.
"I came in with a much bigger chip on my shoulder," said Fredrick, who missed all of spring practice after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder. "I realized coming in I had to catch every single ball in the beginning."
After getting only a handful of snaps in a season-opening loss to Alabama, Fredrick realized his goal of being a significant contributor in his final season would have to be placed, at a minimum, on hold.
