The University of Wisconsin football team may not be No. 1 in the rankings, but it is in the classroom.
According to the Academic Progress Rate rankings released Wednesday, the Badgers’ football team finished first in the nation with a score of 998 (out of 1,000) over the last three years.
That score placed them ahead of other academically reputable institutions such as Northwestern (992), Duke (992), Michigan (990) and Stanford (987).
Wisconsin football now has placed in the top 10 percent in APR for the last three years, one of only six schools to accomplish that feat.
