Madison — Wisconsin's Rafael Gaglianone understands the numbers don't add up.
As a freshman last season, Gaglianone made 19 of 22 field-goal attempts. Those included a 51-yarder in the opener against LSU, his first attempt in college, and the game-tying and game-winning kicks against Auburn in the Outback Bowl.
Through seven games this season, Gaglianone has made just 10 of 17 attempts. He had four misses by the fifth week of the season and missed one of his two attempts last week against Purdue. That marked the fifth consecutive week he missed at least one attempt.
