The Wisconsin Badgers suffered a close 71-62 loss to the Michigan State Spartans in a game that was decided by single-digits for essentially the full 40 minutes on Sunday.
It was a rough loss for the Badgers, who played strong defense and showed toughness, but couldn’t hit threes well (5/32) and struggled at times to defend Michigan State’s transition offense.
The loss was Wisconsin’s seventh of the season, moving them to 22-7 overall and 12-6 in conference play. It was the second straight weekend that Wisconsin lost a close game after falling to the Oregon Ducks in overtime at home last week.
