The assistant coaching carousel officially begins anew as the Badgers have lost defensive backs coach Daronte Jones to the Miami Dolphins, the Dolphins confirmed today via twitter.
This marks a meteoric rise for Jones, as at this point two seasons ago he was the defensive backs coach in Hawaii. But after a season where he helped the Badgers shut down opponents through the air to the tune of 173.2 yards per game and 66 passes defensed, as well as helping Sojourn Shelton return to form and give the Badgers a fine pass defense with Darius Hillary and Tanner McEvoy.
