Madison — Dare Ogunbowale closed spring practice as Wisconsin's No. 2 tailback, behind Corey Clementand ahead of Taiwan Deal.
With the Sept. 5 opener against Alabama less than three weeks away, the walk-on from Marquette High School has solidified his hold on the backup spot.
"I'm not surprised at all," Ogunbowale said after practice Monday. "Coming into camp this is the position I wanted to be in. I believed I could accomplish my goal."
What that says about Ogunbowale's progress and overall ability and the depth at the tailback position remains to be seen.
