Madison — Dare Ogunbowale has been forced to modify his plan for life after the University of Wisconsin, a plan that was built meticulously over the course of several years.
Ogunbowale didn't scale back his plan, however. Rather, he expanded it by clearing a potential path to the National Football League.
"I want to play as long as I can," the redshirt senior tailback said. "I'm going to try to make sure I have a big season and that stuff will take care of itself."
The 2016 opener against LSU is more than a month away, but Ogunbowale, a graduate of Milwaukee Marquette High School who was admitted to UW before he decided to join the football program as a walk-on in the summer of 2012, is set to make his mark at the Big Ten Conference preseason meetings Monday and Tuesday in Chicago.
