Clement took 11 carries for 115 yards and three touchdowns, including a 58-yard scamper that set up another score. He was clearly not back in game shape, but against a lesser Rutgers defense was able to shake off the cobwebs and work back into the lineup.
Joel Stave had an up-and-down performance, completing 13 of 25 attempts for 217 yards, one touchdown and a pair of interceptions.
