Evidently the college football pundits watched the Cotton Bowl. Troy Fumagalli scored the game-clinching TD dominating Western Michigan to the tune of six catches for 83 yards. He led Wisconsin to a 24-16 victory.
The Cotton Bowl capped a productive junior season where Fumagalli caught 47 passes for 580 yards (12.3 yards-per-catch average) and two TDs.
Five TEs were selected in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft, part of 14 total drafted at the position. So there’s room in college football for new faces to emerge as the best of the TE group.
