The Wisconsin Badgers haven’t had the season they hoped for, currently standing at 5-6 needing a win over the Minnesota Gophers this weekend to maintain their bowl streak of 22 consecutive seasons.
It’s been a struggle on both sides of the ball at times this year, as the offensive deficiencies have been well highlighted with Wisconsin failing to consistently generate an efficient passing attack, leading to some disappointing losses against top opponents.
Defensively, though, the Badgers haven’t met their standards, giving up at least 38 points in four of their six losses, including this past weekend when they lost 44-25 to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in an ugly outing against a rival.
