In a major move, Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is entering the transfer portal, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Van Dyke, a graduate transfer to Wisconsin last offseason, was lost for the season after just three games, tearing his ACL in the first quarter against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
That led to redshirt sophomore Braedyn Locke taking the reigns for the remainder of the season, leading the Badgers to a 5-7 overall record.
Coming into the offseason, there were a number of quarterback questions for the Badgers following the firing of offensive coordinator Phil Longo, who was directly involved in recruiting each of the signal-callers in the room.
