The Wisconsin Badgers have secured a commitment from Portland transfer forward Austin Rapp.

Named the WCC Freshman of the Year in 2024, Rapp enjoyed a solid freshman year at Portland, averaging 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for Portland this season, while shooting 35.2 percent from three.

Rapp was on a visit to Wisconsin earlier this week before naming the Badgers as one of his finalists alongside Michigan, Oregon, Clemson, and Iowa. Ultimately, Wisconsin won out, landing their second transfer portal commitment of the cycle, following Virginia’s Andrew Rohde.

Rapp adds to a frontcourt that lost Steven Crowl, Carter Gilmore, and Markus Illver this offseason, joining Nolan Winter and Xavier Amos as the leaders of the group now.
