Madison — Seeing a group of reporters waiting, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan moved gingerly down the main concourse at the Kohl Center.
Ryan had a cane in his right hand and his left index finger was pointed to the ceiling as if to signal he was moving as quickly as he could.
Don't be fooled by that image from Tuesday afternoon. Ryan, 67, was making fun of reports he was stepping down as UW's coach immediately and because of health reasons.
More telling, Ryan energetically reaffirmed his belief that associate head coach Greg Gard should replace him when he retires after the 2015-'16 season.
