Day one of the Big Ten Tournament has come and gone, and with it two teams are out of the competition heading into a busy day two of B1G basketball.
Following the first day of action, the higher seed in each game will advance as 11-seed Nebraska took down Rutgers and 12-seed Illinois took down Minnesota.
The action started Wednesday afternoon with an absolute massacre as the Illinois Fighting Illini dismantled a shorthanded Minnesota Golden Gophers squad 85-52.
The Fighting Illini opened up a 38-22 lead at the half, and cruised to a 17-point advantage in the second half on the way to the 33-point win.
