Wrestling coach Barry Davis has been on both sides of the University of Wisconsin’s Big Ten Conference dual-meet series with Iowa.
A three-time NCAA champion with the Hawkeyes, the veteran coach spent his career in Iowa City on the winning side of the rivalry.
Now he’s on the receiving end of Iowa’s greatness on the mat.
Isaac Jordan registered a 6-1 victory at 165 pounds, but the Badgers (1-4, 0-2 Big Ten) were otherwise shut out in a 31-3 loss to the first-place Hawkeyes (11-0, 5-0) in front of 2,571 fans on Friday night.
It was just the second NCAA match to be held at the Kohl Center.
