The former Waunakee athlete netted the game’s first goal and Reilly Martin scored in the sixth minute of overtime to lift Michigan to a 2-1 victory over the ninth-ranked University of Wisconsin women’s soccer team at the McClimon Complex.
It was the third straight overtime match for the Badgers (8-2, 2-1 Big Ten), who defeated Minnesota and Michigan State in extra sessions before the Wolverines snapped their seven-game winning streak.
In the 96th minute, Martin received the ball from freshman Sarah Stratigakis and carried it across the top of the penalty box until she created enough room to get off a left-footed shot, firing it into the bottom right corner of the goal to give Michigan the sudden-victory win.
