University of Wisconsin junior midfielder Rose Lavelle, one of the elite players in college women's soccer, has earned a place among the nation's best.
Lavelle was called up to the full U.S. Women’s National Team on Tuesday by coach Jill Ellis and will take part in the Victory Tour with the Women’s World Cup champions for the final four matches of the tour next month.
Lavelle is one of eight players named to the roster who were not members of the team that won the 2015 Women’s World Cup.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to represent the United States again and at such a high level,” Lavelle said.
