Grace Douglas picked the perfect time to pick up her University of Wisconsin women's soccer teammates.
The sophomore from Middleton ignited a five-goal burst early in the second half with her first two career goals to break the ice following a scoreless first half as the Badgers went on to defeat Toledo 5-0 in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday night at McClimon Field.
The Badgers scored all five of their goals in a span of 19 minutes. The five goals were the most UW has produced in 36 NCAA tournament matches.
Douglas struck in the 55th minute, beating Toledo’s goalkeeper near post.
