University of Wisconsin women's rowing coach Bebe Bryans was named the Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year, the conference announced on Wednesday.
UW's Alicia Evans was also named a Co-Freshman of the Year along with Michigan's Meghan Gutknecht.
Bryans was named Coach of the Year for hte fourth time in her career and the second time at UW. She helped the Badgers to a pair of first-place finishes in the first novice eight and second novice eight races at the Big Ten Championships. UW earned its ninth straight bid to the NCAA Championships.
Evans is only the third UW rower to be named Freshman of the Year and the first since 2010.
