ORLANDO, Fla. — Gabby Curtis saved her best round for last Tuesday.
The University of Wisconsin sophomore shot a 1-under 71 at the UCF Challenge, making her one of only 22 golfers to fire a single round of 1-under or better during the three-day tournament.
The effort helped Curtis (81-75-71) finish in a tie for 37th at 11-over 227. The Badgers shot a final-round 312 and finished 15th at 914.
First-round leader Houston (885) overtook Missouri on the final day to win the 18-team competition. East Carolina’s Frida Gustafsson (213) was the individual medalist.
UW junior Brooke Ferrell (230) tied for 49th.
