LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Monday proved to be a standout day — individually and collectively — for the University of Wisconsin women’s golf team.
Junior and former Edgerton athlete Brooke Ferrell is atop the leaderboard at the Cardinal Cup while the Badgers were two shots shy of matching their best 36-hole total.
After two rounds, Ferrell holds a two-shot lead over Notre Dame’s Isabella DiLisio at 4-under 140 at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Ferrell’s 66 in the first round tied for second on the Badgers’ all-time list for 18 holes.
The program’s top round was posted by Kris Yoo, who fired a 65 at the 2013 NCAA Central regional in Norman, Oklahoma.
