Safety Tanner McEvoy, who got work at wide receiver during the spring, didn't take one snap on offense in the spring game. With the game televised by BTN, head coach Paul Chryst wasn't in the mood to show future foes what the 6-foot-6, 229-pounder can do as a receiver or how UW might use him in that role.
McEvoy has sure hands, can shield the ball from defenders with his large frame and runs well after the catch.
UW no doubt will use him on offense. The only question: How many plays will he get each week?
