“Wisconsin is a volleyball school.”
So proclaimed a student’s sign at a match in the UW Field House last fall. It is hard to argue with that statement after the run of success the Badgers Women’s Volleyball team has had in the last five seasons.
The numbers speak for themselves since the start of the 2019 season – 1 National Championship, 3 Final Fours, 4 Big Ten titles, 2 National Players of the Year, and a 88% winning percentage. There is a strong case to be made that the Wisconsin program is now among the sport’s Blue Bloods with the likes of Nebraska, Texas, and Stanford.
