“You can’t knock his size. He’s huge. He’s hard to get around.”

Those were the words of Wisconsin Badgers starting linebacker Darryl Peterson when discussing true freshman offensive tackle Kevin Heywood, who is making a strong impact so far in Platteville.

According to Mark Stewart of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the four-star recruit from southeastern Pennsylvania got to work with the first-team unit.

Heywood came to Wisconsin from Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania, where he was 247Sports’ top high school recruit in the Keystone State.

Heywood received offers from prominent college football programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Tennessee, but ultimately picked Wisconsin, even amid their coaching changes at offensive line.
