The Wisconsin Badgers have been looking hard for a defensive lineman in the transfer portal to upgrade their current room, and that wait will have to continue for a little longer.
Grand Valley State defensive lineman Jay’Viar Suggs, a transfer target for the Badgers, is heading to the LSU Tigers, he announced on Wednesday.
Suggs, a 6’3, 285-pound defensive tackle, was connected to the Badgers initially, as his former teammate, cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean, and head coach, Matt Mitchell, had made the jump to Wisconsin last season.
Ultimately though, LSU came in strong as Suggs’s final visit, and seemingly closed the deal, leaving Wisconsin without their coveted defensive lineman in the transfer portal.
