Four University of Wisconsin track and field athletes qualified for the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships, the NCAA announced on Tuesday.
Kelsey Card, Georgia Ellenwood, Morgan McDonald and Zach Ziemek all qualified for the championships, which will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 11-12.
Card, a five-time Big Ten champion, will compete in the weight throw and enters the competition as the top seed. She broke her own school record in the event with a toss of 72 feet, 7 3/4 inches at the 2016 Big Ten Indoor Championships last weekend. That mark ranks eighth in the world this year.
