EUGENE, Ore. — Senior Malachy Schrobilgen came up short in his run for a second All-American nod in the men’s 10,000 meters, finishing in 24th at the NCAA Division I outdoor track and field championships on Wednesday night.
The University of Wisconsin’s Big Ten champion, who took eighth in 2015, finished in 29 minutes, 50.26 seconds
Redshirt junior Riley Budde, of Beaver Dam, threw 207 feet, 2 inches in the hammer throw to finish 19th overall. Later, he threw the shot 61-5½ and finished 14th.
Junior Josh McDonald thew 56-1 and was 24th.
Freshman Rashid Coulibaly cleared 16-10¾ on his final try but finished 20th in the men’s pole vault.
