EUGENE, Ore. — University of Wisconsin junior Georgia Ellenwood competed in four events of the women’s heptathlon on Friday.
On the biggest collegiate stage, she turned in two personal-best times.
Behind those performances, Ellenwood sits in seventh place overall after Day 1 of the event at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships.
In her final competition of the evening, Ellenwood finished fourth in the 200 meters, posting a personal-record time of 24.60 seconds.
In her first event Friday, she was 14th in the 100 hurdles, also registering a top time of :13.81.
In between those events, Ellenwood tied for fourth in the high jump (5 feet, 83/4 inches) and 10th in the shot put (40-63/4).
