Madison — Wisconsin's Troy Fumagalli enjoyed a breakthrough this week.
The redshirt sophomore tight end ditched a piece of equipment he had been forced to wear all season: an ankle brace.
"I'm feeling really good about that," Fumagalli said after practice earlier this week as UW began preparing to host Rutgers at 11 a.m. Saturday. "First time since the injury."
The first injury, that is.
Fumagalli sprained his left ankle in the final week of preseason camp and that injury robbed him of his mobility and led the staff to limit his workload in the opener against Alabama.
