The Wisconsin Badgers are losing another starter to the transfer portal, as slot cornerback Max Lofy announced his intentions to spend his final year of eligibility elsewhere on Monday.
Lofy, a graduate student entering his sixth season of college football, began the year as Wisconsin’s slot cornerback after winning the job during spring camp.
He had missed the entire 2023 season due to injury, but stayed through the course and earned a big role for the Badgers defense in 2024.
He did cede playing time to safety Austin Brown, who was moved into the nickel role more with Wisconsin playing situational football, as the season went along, seeing less and less action in the slot.
