The University of Wisconsin men’s and women’s track and field teams dominated their races Saturday at the Iona Meet of Champions in Bronx, New York.
The fourth-ranked men placed each of its five scoring runners in the top seven for a 25-point total which easily bested Arkansas (51) in the 10-team field.
Junior Malachy Schrobilgen (26 minutes, 9.7 seconds), freshman Tyson Miehe (26:09.7), sophomore Morgan McDonald (26:09.9), junior Russell Sandvold (26:09.9) and sophomore Joe Hardy (26:10.0) finished together third through seventh, about 10 seconds back of Franklin Tonui and Christian Heymsfield of Arkansas.
