The University of Wisconsin men’s soccer team announced the addition of six players Thursday, including three in-state products.
Madison Memorial’s Abdul Kooistra, a high-scoring midfielder who also plays defense, will be joined by Jack Wells, a goalie from Milwaukee University School, and Isaac Schlenker, a forward who also played at Milwaukee University School.
The Class of 2015 also will include high-scoring defender Sam Brotherton (Auckland, New Zealand), center back Elan Koenig (Los Angeles) and midfielder Sully Tesch (Park City, Utah).
Wells, Tesch and Schlenker joined the team following spring tryouts.
Brotherton recently started all four games for host New Zealand in the FIFA Under-20 Men’s World Cup.
