Kelsey Card followed a second-place finish in the shot put Friday with a runner-up effort in the discus at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
With her 194-foot, 11-inch throw, the junior became the first UW woman to earn first-team All-America honors in the event.
“You have goals and dreams heading into the season. To have one of your dreams become a reality, it’s great,” Card said.
UW junior and former Dodgeville athlete Molly Hanson finished ninth in the 1,500 meters.
Oregon won the women’s championship, completing the Ducks’ team title sweep.
