The University of Wisconsin athletics department announced in May several new business partnerships. The State Journal received the contracts per an open records request, and broke down the details from each deal.
Wisconsin grants ASPIRE the exclusive right as the “Official Sports Drink of Wisconsin Athletics” and “Official Sports Drink of the Badgers”
- UW takes 10 percent of ASPIRE’s net sales revenue within the state of Wisconsin. Estimates are $40,000 in the first year of the deal and $95,000 in the second year.
- A minimum of 3,000 24-pack cases of 20-ounce bottles, 325 units (minimum) of sports drink liquid or powder concentrate, 11,450 water bottles, 815 small towels, 575 large towels, 276,000 nine-ounce cups, 78 10-gallon coolers and 15 tankers.
