Taylor Paige-Stewart and two relievers combined to blank UW-Green Bay on three hits — all singles — as the University of Wisconsin softball team rolled to a pair of 8-0 victories in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday at Goodman Diamond.
The Badgers (26-19-1) pounded out 11 hits in the six-inning opener against the Phoenix (16-28) and got home runs from Chloe Miller (three-run shot) and Katie Christner in a five-inning nightcap.
"I think that's as good as it gets," coach Yvette Healy said. "It started with Taylor-Paige Stewart on the mound, she did great in both games and I think she really gave the offense a lot of time to work.
