The University of Wisconsin women’s soccer team failed to score Sunday, but offense wasn’t coach Paula Wilkins’ chief concern following a 1-0 non-conference defeat to Illinois State at McClimon Field.
“The one thing we have to go back and do is we have to (shore) up our defense,” Wilkins said. “We can’t be giving up (the) goals that we are right now. That’s going to be the big thing for us next week in training, is that we’ve got to defend better as a group and we’re going to have to look at our shape and how we have to do that differently.
