Four former University of Wisconsin rowers will be enshrined in the National Rowing Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016, the National Rowing Foundation announced.
Madison natives Jackie (Zoch) Major and Peggy McCarthy Bailey, as well as Spring Green's Carie Graves will all enter the Hall as part of the 1976 Olympic bronze medal eight known as the "red Rose Crew." Cedarburg's Eric Mueller will be inducted as part of the quadruple sculls who won the 1996 Olympic silver medal.
Graves is now a three-time inductee while McCarthy Bailey will be inducted for a second time.
