Wisconsin Badgers point guard Camren Hunter is entering the transfer portal after one season, according to League Ready.
Hunter, a transfer from Central Arkansas last offseason, played in just 11 games this season, seeing 2.1 minutes per contest. He did not play during the 2023-24 season after suffering a season-ending injury, but was expected to compete for the starting point guard job at Wisconsin upon transferring to the program.
However, Hunter had a slower acclimation and ultimately was beaten out by Kamari McGee, while Wisconsin didn’t go with a traditional point guard in its starting lineup, limiting opportunities for the transfer.
